If two is company and three is a crowd, what is four? Pandemonium?

Well, we are about to find out... Come late January 2010, Peter's going to be a big brother! I am 13 weeks along, beginning the 2nd trimester today. It has been very difficult to post anything on here without recounting the trials of parenting Peter with such a profound lack of energy. So for those wondering what has taken so long for these recent posts, there's your answer. It's been a big part of our lives and we are thrilled to finally share it with the world.

Peter has had some fun so far this summer, and we've caught a moment or two on film. Here are a couple of our favorites:

A real "bad hair day"

This is Peter's favorite spot in the driveway. I wonder why?

"Tower, this is Maverick requesting a fly-by."

My apologies for neglecting to post in recent weeks. It's been busy, as evidenced by the following snapshots from our summer. After our visit to Lafayette, we stayed busy playing/working in the yard and invading the lake. A dear friend from college came in with her little ones and Peter had a blast mimicking the big kids. We had a houseful when my grandparents came up along with my mom, aunt Julie and cousin Marie. Then we took off for almost two weeks to the South Carolina beach to be with Hayes's family. Peter did really well in the sand after the first day, when he would not step away from the spot where we set him down. By the end of the week, he'd run off for the water himself. Admittedly, his favorite part was not at all related to the scenery. He would have been happy to ride the golf cart. All. Day. Long. Like father, like son.

More to come soon - I promise!
