Peter cut his first tooth this morning! After only two weeks of intense teething, he was gnawing on Daddy's knuckle as usual and Daddy noticed a bit more... discomfort... than usual. Lo and behold, there was the tip of a little pearl peeking through. His toothless smile is precious, so we can't wait to share pictures of his one-tooth grin when there's finally something to see.

This year we spent Christmas with Reenie and Grampa at their lakehouse on Smith Lake. The weather was a little chilly, but Peter had a great time inside playing with everything (and everyone) around him.

Peter got lots of great gifts, including a couple of warm hats.

But his favorite toy of all was a big red bow!

Peter was baptized this weekend amidst the first snow flurries of the season. Uncle Geoff and Aunt Callie took great care of him; he's lucky to have such wonderful godparents.

In addition to his aunt and uncle, Peter's grandparents and even cousins from Atlanta came in to celebrate his special day.

Peter had his first taste of solid food today, and had a blast with it! We're easing into the whole thing, but we can already tell that he'll be quite an eager eater. Note the koala-like tendencies of his foot wrapping itself around Mommy's arm.

Peter had his four month check-up today. His nurse couldn't believe how much he's grown in the past two months! He weighed in at a hefty 15 lbs 13 oz, thanks to his holiday feasting. That's 70th percentile! He grew three inches to 26 1/2 inches - 95th percentile! Hard to believe considering Mommy wasn't even on the charts until middle school...

Santa will be paying an early visit to congratulate him for being so brave for his shots. Mommy, on the other hand, could use some pointers.

Peter's world is always growing (as are his cheeks). This week, he discovered ten new toys at the end of his wrinkly little legs making diaper changes a little more challenging.

He also loves to grab onto any unsuspecting passersby, be they Mommy's arms, hair, glasses, jewelry, etc. It is a very fun game -- especially at 4 AM!
